OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Hybrid Cloud Platform to build and lead a team of cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating hybrid cloud solutions across on‑premises environments and public cloud platforms. This role combines strong technical leadership with people management, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities:Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers through coaching, performance management, career development, and ongoing feedback.
  • Foster a team culture focused on innovation, accountability, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR and senior leadership on workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement.
  • Drive team rhythm of business, including standups, sprint planning, 1:1s, and professional development plans.
  • Hybrid Cloud Strategy & Architecture
  • Define and execute the hybrid cloud strategy, spanning private cloud, on‑prem infrastructure, and public cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Ensure systems are architected for reliability, security, scalability, and performance.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment to standards and compliance.
    • Technical Delivery & Execution
  • Oversee the design and implementation of hybrid cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, container platforms, monitoring, and identity.
  • Drive automation across provisioning, configuration, CI/CD, and operational workflows.
  • Ensure high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities across hybrid environments.
  • Manage technical roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
    • Operations & Reliability
  • Own the operation and lifecycle management of hybrid cloud platforms and core services.
  • Improve system reliability through observability, capacity planning, and proactive problem management.
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product teams, security teams, application owners, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud services that meet organizational needs.
  • Communicate technical concepts, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives and align infrastructure investments with business value.
    • Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in people management or technical team leadership.
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud technologies virtualization platforms, Kubernetes, cloud networking, identity, automation).
  • Experience with one or more public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams, drive technical roadmaps, and deliver complex infrastructure solutions.
    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud governance, FinOps, and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with edge, distributed cloud, or on-prem cloud solutions (Azure Arc, AWS Outposts, Google Distributed Cloud).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
