Job DescriptionThe Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for supporting the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)function, including monthly management reporting, the annual budgeting process and providing accurate and timely analysis to support key business decisions. The Financial Analyst will be an effective business partner with corporate leadership.The role will also support ongoing integration activities, strategic planning and corporate development when required. This position will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad-hoc reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Budget and ForecastConvert business input and needs into budget and forecast documentsUpdate corporate functions representatives quarterly about their execution, forecast and budget providing high level of details and explanations depending on the situation and the objectivesDeliver the monthly analysis, forecast and budget in a timely mannerParticipate on process analysis and improvementFocus on priority managementAssist corporate functions representatives with any queries or questions they may haveAccounting, month-end closingPrepare the month-end entries on a timely manner and ensure they are exempt of errorsPro-actively find and solve issues and 'new' actuals requiring actionsHelp track the transformation savings and adjust to the HR organizational changesPerform CAPEX, Fixe Assets and Office Lease accounting, continuity schedules, restructuring templatesQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting (monthly reporting) or Financial planning and analysis (budgeting, forecasting)Solid understanding of accounting practices and principlesAccuracy, detail-oriented, with good organizational skillsAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsStrong technical & analytical skillsAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressureSelf-motivated, high initiative and able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibilityStrong business partnering skillsInnovation, creativity and project ownershipTeam playerCustomer-focusedEnglish proficientOracle (ERP) knowledge would be a plusOur offer toward work-life balanceRemote workDirect contract with SNC-LavalinMotivational financial package & flexible benefitsEaster and Christmas bonusesPerformance bonusFree French language classesEmployees Wellness ProgramAdditional paid sick days per year without requiring a medical certificateLearning and Development programs, Career opportunitiesTeam activities, virtual team-building events, Open and dynamic work environmentFlexible working schedule–organized in 3 shifts (Monday to Friday): 10:00-19:00, 08:30-17:30 and *13:00-22:00 *several evening shifts per year during quarter/year-end closing processWorker TypeEmployeeJob TypeRegularAt SNC-Lavalin, we seek to hire individuals with diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives.
