The MCU8 business provides a leading portfolio of 8-bit MCUs with advanced peripherals, shipping more that 2 billion units each year for use in a wide variety of embedded control applications.Our MCU8 Nonvolatile Memory Design Engineering team is looking for an Nonvolatile Memory Design Intern who will design, validate silicon functionality, and characterize low-power analog circuits such as analog converters, operational amplifiers, oscillators, comparators, etc. Responsibilities Design CMOS analog circuits following a set of design specifications using industry standard software tools.Work with the IC Design Engineers to develop the validation plan to ensure that all design specifications are fulfilled. Develop and perform silicon validation test plans, design test boards, write automation test scripts. Assist design engineers with characterization and functional testing to complete root cause failure analysis.Job RequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications: The position is open to students pursuing the mandatory undergraduate internship (final year) or Master students in Electronics. Basic knowledge about CMOS technology and layout of analog circuits Basic knowledge about Spice-like analog simulators. Some exposure to developing a test environment and executing test plans against system level specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication, and the ability to work across functional groups and organizations. Very good knowledge of English and communications skills. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience with schematic capture design tools. Experience with scripting languages such as PERL and Matlab. Hands-on lab/debug experience (Project 1). Verilog.
