Ezugi is a company where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence and innovation are rewarded, and has built a reputation as a top employer for the Romanian development market.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to join our team and to manage, coordinate and execute various legal matters throughout different projects and departments.The day to day work includes offering legal support on a worldwide level, being a part of Finance department and managed by our CFO. This is not just an advisory position and you will have the opportunity to shape this role and bring your expertise to a number of governance and policy areas across the organization.You are expected to be skilled at understanding business requirements and working closely with stakeholders from different departments in order to accurately deliver legal advice and services.Responsibilities: Provides operational legal support on day-to-day issues and/or specific projects to the financial department, office management, studio operations, HR department, and other company’s departments upon needs;Provides general legal advice and assistance to all company’s departments and executive management team concerning contracts (mainly for services and products purchasing), ranging from drafting, review and interpretation up to the follow up all legal parts of these contracts (drafting modifications, notifications, letters, claims and various addendums, etc., uses judgement to recommend the correct resolution of contractual issues) in both Romanian and English languages;Drafts and revises all type of documents to comply with laws and company’s business interests, prepares drafts of powers of attorneys, regulations, orders, complaints, non-standard draft contracts, letters, contract templates, contract modifications, annexes, etc, amends procedures or policies within competency, both in Romanian and English languages, ensures timely and accurate registration of the company’s corporate documents and issues legal opinions regarding various legal matters (for ex but not limited to employment topics, contracts, personal data protection aspects);Provides support for compliance monitoring, compliance refresh and compliance on-boarding operations including KYC and DD; evaluation and analysis of business partners data and documents, mainly but not limited to clients’ data (general corporate information, general operational information such as licenses and permits, financial information and bank details, policies, transaction data, etc.); support regarding banks related compliance reviews;Provides legal assistance and support regarding GDPR matters, such as: undertakes proactive work and enforcement measures that promote good data protection working practices and compliance with GDPR requirements, ensuring and continuously increasing privacy awareness among company’s personnel as well as closely collaborates and aligns about data protection compliance or related issues with the members of the Group Data Protection Team, HR, other envisaged functions and the Information Security team; ensures that activities are GDPR and local data privacy law compliant, monitors company’s compliance with GDPR or other privacy laws, identifies and evaluates the processing activities, implements action plans and measures to ensure adequate GDPR compliance and risks mitigation, conducts compliance and legal risk assessments and reports any failure to comply with the GDPR or applicable data protection rules, analyzes compliance and legal identified issues and provides remediation and support to remediate the internal / external audits findings; support for answering inquiries on data protection laws and data subject access requests, providing appropriate advice and guidance as analyzed and confirmed with Group Data Protection Team, ensures data subject access requests, clients requests, providers requests are responded to in due time, deals with data protection complaints, handles personal data breach notifications; implements Group’s GDPR related documentation and good practices, drafts/revises data protection policies and makes sure are duly followed; prepares local instructions, responsible for local data protection impact assessments and assessments of data protection risks in general, manages records as required by legislation, prepares, updates and checks related data protection contracts;Performs research and analyzes laws, regulations, guidelines, company’s practices, procedures, policies and hypothetical / factual situations, monitors the changes in the national and EU legislation and informs the interested stakeholders about the most recent changes in legislation and the impact thereof;Ensures that the internal procedures and policies of the company are compliant with the legislation in force and Group’s internal policies; ensures that standard processes are duly followed and proposes improvements to existing processes;Ensures representation of company’s best interests by providing support and representation with business partners and regulatory bodies, upon needs;Maintains register of legal documents and registers documents in the Group’s data systems; support regarding data bases (ensures full sets of documents are duly collected and uploaded, accurate, updated, countersigned, etc.);Closely collaborates with colleagues from other Group companies, providing legal support as requested upon needs for the fulfillment of the allocated assignments;Meets orders and performs entrusted tasks by any Direct manager/Chief Legal Officer and/or Head of Compliance in good faith and with proper legal care, within his/her competence provides information to Direct manager/Chief Legal Officer on all matters with direct or indirect impact on company's interests or reputation and collaborates with other departments of the company and provides them with legal support, consults them;Cooperates with Company’s outside legal counsels, as necessary;Complies with the internal rules, occupational health and safety requirements and keeps confidential any kind of information received while performing job duties, especially know-how of the company, as well does not disclose other commercial and sensitive information of the company neither to colleagues, except as necessary for them to perform their job duties, nor to third persons.Skills + Experience Law degree from a reputable university;Advantage: special expertise in employment law (Master's Degree) and/or data protection field, expertise in the compliance domain, experience with data analysis, risks and controls assessments;Practical experience in employment law, data protection, corporate and commercial matters;
