Total Resourcing Ltd are looking for an experienced Licensed Nuclear Operator to bridge the gap between active plant operations and the refurbishment project team. In this role, you will apply your control room expertise to support outage planning, permit strategies, and safety coordination during this critical overhaul.
You will act as a leader and mentor, ensuring that safety remains the top priority while driving complex refurbishment schedules.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Licensing: currently licensed (or previously licensed) as a Control Room Operator (CRO) or Shift Supervisor.
- Outage Expertise: demonstrated experience in planned outage preparation and execution at CNE (specifically in operations roles such as Major Work Co-ordinator, Permit preparation, or Work Plan execution).
- Refurbishment Experience: Prior experience in CANDU Refurbishment or Major Component Replacement (MCR) projects (e.g., Retube/Feeder Replacement, Steam Generator Replacement) is highly desirable.
- System Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of the SNN/CNE management system and organizational processes.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess a valid Nuclear Operator License recognized by the appropriate regulatory body.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nuclear operations, preferably with Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR).
- Strong understanding of nuclear safety protocols, radiation protection, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience with plant control systems and operations within a nuclear environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in computer-based systems for monitoring and control of plant operations.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain licensing requirements.
