Join our innovative Gas Services Distributed business, where you will independently perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and dimensional inspections on components for gas turbines and packaging modules, often collaborating with suppliers. In this role, you will ensure inspections are conducted according to specifications and will be responsible for the technical and formal review of documentation. Typically, NDT is performed at supplier locations, and when deviations from supplier results are identified, you will clearly describe these discrepancies in technical terms, effectively communicating them and coordinating further actions with our cross-departmental team. Additionally, you may analyze automatically captured data from NDT processes using various software applications.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Responsibility for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of non-destructive inspections on gas turbines componentsSupplier qualification, development and active participation in the quality improvement of suppliers and purchased partsAvoiding quality problems by developing preventive measures for suppliersMethods for quality assurance and analyzing the causes of defects and initiating appropriate corrective measures together with suppliersImplementation of preventive SQM methods and risk management in supplier-related processes, projects and productsInitiation, control and active tracking of corrective and preventive actions for suppliersProactive collaboration with a global team and internal partners Inspection of automatically captured forging records in various software applications (DEA, TomoView...) What You Bring
Completed technical education, mechanical engineering, or similarCertified to ISO 9712 or similar in VT, UT to at least Level II required, MT and PT desirableSeveral years of relevant professional experience in the NDT of forged componentsProfound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCAA team player with good collaboration and communication skillsMS Office applications, SAPBusiness fluence in EnglishUp to 60% travel nationally and internationally, hybrid working with 3 days in the office if not travelling
