The mission of Plant Operational Excellence Engineer is to support the plant to increase its profitability. For this he/she needs to focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction by:
- Leading, coordinating and identifying improvements opportunities in the plant.
- Driving plant team to deploy improvements and build continuous improvement mind-set.
- Active support of Kaizen approach in the plant, by animating and performing improvement workshops.
- Being accountable for Labour Flex, Control Tower actions implementation and plant OEE results.
- Providing knowledge and coaching based on APPS/IMS 2.0 Group standards and orientations, linked to operational business targets.
- Supporting Regional Operational Excellence Manager/Director in the deployment of the regional strategy in the plant, by providing all necessary information
Core tasks:
- Leading and creation of plant Kaizen workshop plan.
- Active presence on production shop-floor by performing Kaizen activities.
- Working in multidisciplinary teams: monitoring and constantly optimizing Labour Flex, Control Towers and OOE plant results.
- Actively review and improving Cycle Time / Operator Work Content, by performing measurements and ensuring that the Standardized work documents are e updated accordantly.
- Ensuring that all plant improvement activities are tracked inside “Control Tower” and lead the team to maintain “Control Tower” up-to-date and timely reported,
- Moderating and supervising lay-out changes and making improvements in material and information flow.
- Coaching, motivating and supporting plant management team in APPS deployment (methodology, rules, tools), especially insuring that plant KPI are properly understood and calculated and improvement actions are connected with plant P&L results.
- Deployment, sharing and proper application of APPS / IMS 2.0 rules and standards by all plant personnel.
- Distribution of Company best practises and active contribution of sharing plant best practise with the Organization.
- Participation in regional and corporate workshops, projects and meetings
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering (formal education may be substituted by equivalent work experience)
- Experience within a production environment
- Knowledge of Lean tools: Kaizen, VSM, 5S, Visual Management, TPM, e.g. Knowledge of Six Sigma an advantage
- Good English language knowledge: written and spoken.
