Detailed Description: Detailed Description:Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division's/department's operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with the manager. Work is reviewed for the application of sound technical judgment. May lead a workgroup or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal service. Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:• Responsible to request quotes through CRM interface and create a Purchasing Requisition for tools/ jigs;• Define new assembly processes during NPI builds and generates the associated work instructions;• Monitor the key process indicators of the lines and ensure all processes are running within specified quality targets;• In charge of equipment installation and all the documentation needed for this, like new equipment; introduction form, preventive maintenance plan, health and safety measures;• Together with the Industrial Engineering team analyses the bottlenecks and continuous improvement of the assembly processes;• Ensures that the 5S targets are achieved in his area;• Together with the Quality team builds up PFMEA and control plans for the assembly processes;• Ensures the knowledge transfer to the site trainers for the processes they are responsible for• Responsible to set up the new processes for new products;• Analyze daily all the issues related to the process and equipment breakdowns;• Participates at the Quality meetings and takes ownership of the actions against processes that generate defects, and presents engineering reports if required;• Survey and order the spare parts for consumption and their utilization;• Advises corrective actions for process improvement; setting up the SPC and managing it:• Generate studies and analysis for the technical issues; Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: • Degree/Diploma holder in Engineering /Electronics or related field• 3-5 years related experience in EMS, Automotive• Knowledge and understanding of the design process for systems and printed circuit boards• Knowledge and understanding of systems and printed circuit board manufacturing processes and equipment• Knowledge of industry and quality standards• Good organization skills• Good English knowledge• Ability to effectively communicate with the customers• Excellent computer and electronic skills• Physical Demands:• Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently requiredCelestica is an equal opportunity employer.
