Role Profile Role title: Procurement Business Partner Corporate Colt Level: S2 Function: Finance – Procurement Reports to: Procurement Business Partner Head Corporate Location: All Colt countries Role purpose Procurement business partner responsibilities include: • Managing the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending • Category of spend to manage covering legal, marketing, HR, Finance … • Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies • Analysing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure Procurement Business Partner Corporate is responsible for handling Corporate sourcing operations. He / She will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities. Key accountabilities Ensures the effective procurement of products and services in a timely and efficient manner. Develops and Implements the Category strategy, to control costs, time, promote competition and safeguard supply capacity, including suppliers consolidation opportunities, consistently with Group objectives and targets. Manages engagements and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure Category and saving plans, budget assumptions, terms and processes are consistently reviewed and aligned and internal stakeholder expectations are met. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms. Invent negotiation strategies Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques Discover and partner with trustworthy, inclusive & Diverse vendors and suppliers Support sustainable procurement approach in line with ISO20400 guidance Establishes and maintains regular and productive relationships with business stakeholders to achieve agreed business goals. Maximizes the use of tools, processes, policy setting and enforcement in alignment with the Category strategy to support the control of the spend. Manages tender processes from the specification stage to final contract award. Following contract award, manages and leads the contract negotiation process to conclusion. Ensures all the documentation relevant to sourcing activities is complete and available in Ariba (RFP, scoring tools and results, Order Forms, SoWs) Works with internal departments to expedite and resolve any procurement and contractual issues to minimise any project programme risks. • Develops a supply risk evaluation for the relevant Categories and includes it in the Category Plans • Acts as a subject matter expert on specialist procurement issues. • Remains aware of best practice and procurement legislation ensuring these are adhered to. • Assist internal stakeholders in ad hoc procurement activities. • Solicits and evaluates competitive bids based on economies of scale, total cost of ownership, payment terms and currency options, commercial terms and conditions of supply. • Assist with the development of new processes, procedures and solutions for the purchasing system and identify any category specific requirements Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial) Opex and Capex savings against budget Opex and Capex avoidance ROI Sustainable metrics Relevant support to the business to deliver at the right cost, the right object, at the right time Successful opportunity analysis Relationships and key contacts You will be working closely with the Finance Business partners, legal as well as internal stakeholders You will be in constant touch with Colt suppliers Role specific requirements Skills & Experience Minimum 7 years’ experience in Procurement Sourcing management Strong internal engagement Has delivered large, complex Marketing / Strategic sourcing RFP globally Proven work experience as a sourcing manager or procurement manager Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement Strong project management and leadership skills Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions High level of understanding on procurement tools (e.g. Ariba, SAP, Fieldglass …) Qualifications BSc degree in procurement, supply chain management, logistics or business administration – MCIPS preferably or working towards Behaviours Self-motivated with inner drive and determination Know how to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, using a variety of contexts and data Flexible and proactive attitude Strong team player Strong communication skills with ability to clearly communicate with senior executives Strong interpersonal and influencing skills Strong analytical skills Ability to challenge What we offer: Colt is a growing business that is investing in its people.
