Procurement Director in Galaţi

The Vacancy We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Director to develop and manage all activities associated with procurement and distribution of materials for Galati. This role will include communication with key stakeholders to meet our business needs.It is subordinated to Managing Director and the position is part of Management Committee.Responsibilities:Responsible for developing and manage procedures for procurement of materials and supplies for the company, including policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services, coordinating with the central procurement team.Monitoring and keeping the Management Committee abreast on various raw material indices and market sentiments.Close coordination with Finance on cash flow and contracting of raw material, in lines of business plan volumes.Port and logistics stocks management to ensure raw material sufficiency for the Business Plan targets.Business plan formulation and cost reduction initiatives identification and implementation.Reduction initiatives in logistics costs in finished goods.Raw material specification – development and review to optimize buying options, in close association with the user departments.Responsible for supplier’s selection, negotiation and contractingEstablish and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers and ensure all pricing and discount are in the best interest of the companyOversee all procurement for entire company to ensure proposals and procurements are within company policies and make sure that savings targets for each subcategory are reached.Interact with Lead users for implementation of savings ideasAnalyse procurement trends, re-evaluate current suppliers, evaluate prospective suppliers and negotiate new ratesEstablish and follow up the lead buyers team governance and management. Experience & Qualification requirements:Bachelor’s DegreeWorking knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accountingAbility to multi-task, collaborate with others, set priorities and take initiatives.Excellent relationship building skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesSuccessfully managed a team in a similar positionStrong analytical and negotiating skillsExcellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation skills are a must. English is mandatory.8+ years of relative experience in Metals industry, preferably integrated steel plant supply chain.GFG Alliance values diversity.
