Production Manager - wood industry in Miercurea Ciuc

We are recruiting for our client, an industrial company, a person in the role of Production Manager. The company: The company produces for over than 20 years, customizable furniture for clients from France, Germany and Romania. Lately, they have added to their portfolio the production of leather chairs, armchairs and sofas. The role: This person sets up the organization and manages the production in compliance with cost, quality and deadline constraints. He defines the manufacturing strategy and production flow, oversees the overall performance of production. The organization’s objective is to increase delivery by 30%. Profile: General or specialized engineering school in the wood and furniture sector Hands on person and a good communicator Excellent command of production techniques Mastery of lean methods Knowledge of wood and furniture. Quality of leadership and management, ability to unite its teams around a common goal of performance and owning. Quality of planning organization and rigor to manage projects. High reactivity to manage a sometimes-considerable number of problems during a day with often rather short reflection periods. Responsibilities: 1.Definne and implement the production objectives Establish load plans (quantity, volume, production rate) for the various factory production lines. Analyze annual production capacity and compare it to commercial needs. Define with the director the main performance indicators to assess the good operation of the production flow. Identify the main levers of action to optimize production: quality capacity, human resources. Propose investments that will make it possible in the short, medium or long term to improve the production performance: acquisition of new machines, quality audit etc. 2.Organise and manage the production Implement the solutions defined in terms of organization of production: new process new functional organization. Plan production in accordance with specifications. Communicate to the production teams the individual and collective objectives in terms of quality. Ensure the smooth running of the entire supply chain and manufacturing. Continuously monitor the various performance indicators. 3. Supervision and team management On a daily basis, manage the relationship with the various heads of the production department: e.g. workshop leader, etc. Anticipate recruitment needs. Check that the investments made and the projects deployed are well integrated within production: the teams use correctly and efficiently the manufacturing instructions.
