The team is made up of developers, testers and a Product owner. As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst you will be responsible for hands on functional testing on the payment’s platform whilst acting as a mentor to more junior members of the team. You will be the test lead for all the teams project/feature testing and will be the go to person for all testing related points.  You will be working with your agile team to deliver products and change requests of the highest quality whilst proactively leading on identifying improvements and enhancements on the platform and to the testing processes.What you will be doing:You will be owning the designing and planning test strategies for projects and applicationsYou will be undertaking planning activities for agile deliveriesYou will work alongside the Automation Test Lead to progress automation backlog itemsYou will create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using SeleniumYou will support and maintain the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features and bug fixesYou will be analysing requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases, adding to the test suite using SeleniumYou will be executing tests thoroughly to ensure software quality, running automated tests and identifying defectsYou will be actively contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvementsYou will be working with project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner whilst keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and challengesYou will be supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features, or bug fixesMakes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development lifecycle process.Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to teams on quality assurance methodologies and processes and educate on testers responsibilities/accountabilities to achieve on-time and quality deliverables.What you bring:Previous experience of working as a Quality Assurance Automation EngineerExperience within an agile development environmentExperience of test automation using Selenium Web DriverAbility to refactor code to reduce complexityExperience of mentoring and coaching junior members of the teamKnowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testingPractical experience of agile testing methodologies – BDD, TDD etc.Coaching and mentoring skills to provide guidance to junior team membersProficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologiesAdded bonus if you have:Hands-on experience with API and Microservices testingExperience with public cloud platforms (AWS, OpenShift)What we offer youCompetitive salary and fantastic range of benefits – private health insurance including dental, meal vouchers, private pension, sport allowance, well-being programsA variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities26 vacation days per year and bank holidays replacementThe chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payment industryPrivacy StatementFIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
