Job Description
ADM has an exciting opportunity available for a proactive and technically skilled Sales Manager to lead and accelerate the growth of our animal nutrition business in Romania and Bulgaria. As a key commercial role in a largely untapped market for ADM Animal Nutrition, you will be responsible for building our presence, driving new business and maximizing customer value in close cooperation with the ADM Animal Nutrition team, and other ADM business units.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong technical animal nutrition expertise and a hunter mentality. You will manage direct B2B business with integrators, premixers, feedmillers and large farms, while also developing and managing a distributor network.
The role is based in Bucharest, Romania and reports to the Sales Director Specialties East Europe based in Switzerland.
Main duties of this role will include:
· Lead ADM’s commercial development for Animal Nutrition in Romania and Bulgaria, with full responsibility for achieving sales targets.
· Establish and develop long-term relationships with customer and key market players
· Identify and develop a strong sales pipeline of business and partnership opportunities
· Develop and manage a network of distributors as needed
· Create and execute a 3-5 year Business Plan for sustainable market expansion.
· Monthly reporting, sales analytics and insights
· Develop customer concepts in cooperation with product management, application and product development
· Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity
· Collaborate closely with and provide feedback to internal departments: incl. technical support, customer service, product management, marketing and finance.
· Work with other ADM business units active in the market, to maximize customer value, strengthen ADM’s overall market presence, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
· Bachelors in Agricultural or Agro Engineering + Masters, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Business educational background.
· Knowledge of animal nutrition, the role of feed additives and animal physiology
· At least 7-10 years of sales experience in the Animal Nutrition
· Strong network with main integrators and feed producers in the region
· Strong business development spirit, and ability to open new markets and build business from the ground up.
· Solid negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
· Highly autonomous, organized, and able to work within an international (remote) matrix environment.
· Excellent English language skills, Romanian native and Bulgarian a plus
· Flexible and willing to travel extensively (50%+) across the region
