As an SAP & Tax Technology Specialist, you play a key role in managing and maintaining third‑party tax applications and ensuring their seamless integration within the SAP landscape. You act as a bridge between tax and IT, actively contributing to digital initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of tax processes. In this role, you support system operations, support project activities, provide training, and help shape sustainable support and maintenance concepts for tax solutions.
The position acts as a cross‑functional interface between Tax, Finance, Procurement, Sales, IT, and external implementation partners in an international project environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support, manage and maintain third‑party tax applications and solutions, ensuring stable operation and effective integration with SAP systems ( SAP FI, SD, MM, SAP DRC, Vertex Tax Engine, Microsoft solutions). Collaborate closely with Tax and technical implementation teams in cross‑functional teams to support digital tax initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Support and coordinate digital projects related to tax applications, including planning, execution, and alignment with stakeholders. Improve the maintenance and support concept for tax solutions, including incident handling and system enhancements. Troubleshoot and support integration issues between tax applications and ERP systems. Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and key users to ensure effective and compliant use of tax solutions. Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of tax applications and related processes. What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience working with third‑party applications, preferably in tax or finance environments, including implementation and integration projects within ERP systems. Strong experience with SAP environments, particularly FI, SD, MM, and Customizing, and integration of external solutions. Solid understanding of tax and finance processes, including VAT determination, tax compliance reporting, and tax applications. Proven project management skills, with experience coordinating timelines, working with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering training. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent command of English.
