Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Responsibilities: Contribute to financial statements preparation and tax returns for the entitySupport the local statutory audits and any other audits as applicablePerform permanent checks to accounting transactions booked to the entity’s ledgerSubmit timely the local reporting fillings and maintain the interface with authorities if neededEnsure compliance with local accounting principles and tax laws for all transactionsSupport local month-end and year-end close process for corporate booksDevelop and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsContribute to entity projects where accounting expertise is requiredEnsure records retention according to HPE policies and local lawsAvoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.Protect organization's value by keeping information confidentialEducation and Experience Required: 10 years proven experience as senior accountant (CECAR expert accountant would be an asset)Solid knowledge of accounting procedures and practical experience requiredIn-depth understanding of Romanian Accounting rules and tax law rulesExperience with GL functions and the month-end/year-end closing processUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantEnglish language knowledge requiredKnowledge and Skills: Hands-on experience with software packages(SAP S4, Sun Systems)Accuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbers and quantitative skillsExcellent analytical skills.Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).Excellent communication and influencing skills.Superior teamwork skills.What we can offer you:Extensive benefits, a competitive salary and participation in the shared values and purpose that make Hewlett Packard Enterprise one of the world´s most attractive employers!
