We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Database Engineer/Architect with strong experience in PostgreSQL and Oracle to support our enterprise systems across business-critical environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to both design and operational excellence, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of our database systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
Optimize queries, indexing, and performance tuning
Set up monitoring, backup, and failover strategies
Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application requirements
Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal standards
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues
Maintain and optimize high-performance database environments supporting mission-critical applications, such as Online Charging Systems, with transaction volumes exceeding ,–, TPS.
Manage and safeguard database availability and fault tolerance for systems with real-time processing requirements and critical uptime commitments. Requirements & Qualifications:
+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and Oracle administration
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational database concepts
Experience with replication, clustering, and high availability setups
Solid understanding of backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques
Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
Experience in enterprise environments with large data sets
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting)
Exposure to DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of security best practices (, encryption, RBAC)
Experience supporting telecom or BSS systems (a plus) Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Proactive mindset with ability to work independently
