Deutsche Bank provides a wide range of IT services to its business representatives around the globe through the IT division from the Technology Centres.

 

The Developer Tools is a newly formed team determining and internalising a range of IT services required across Deutsche Bank to maximise the value of IT projects. This includes SDLC Engineering, coaching, engagement and enabling.

 

The SDLC Specialist defines and validates the company’s standards, process and practices around software delivery and drives the transformation and implementation into the various IT domains/projects.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Expert in Project Delivery
    • Provides guidance to Program and Project Managers how to use efficiently the SDLC Governance in their area. Having strong ownership of Software Delivery methodologies, participates in the implementation of a controlled project delivery model.
    • Collaborates with other team members to develop, maintain and improve a suite of assessment templates and instruments for quality audits and reporting.
    • Applies the scientific method to learn through continuous experimentation and has the courage to constructively challenge, in the face of new evidence, data or understanding.
  • Develop Quality Controls and follow the adherence to standards
    • Responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational-wide adoption of Agile SDLC and DevOps. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile/DevOps, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continuously offering strategies for improvement.
    • Manages / influences key stakeholder expectations, builds delivery strategies and follows the implementation against the agreed plan and the defined standards
    • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Enabler/driver
    • Hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of SDLC as well as overall company growth and improvement.
    • Provides the right tools for implementing the process in their own work.
    • Responsible for guiding teams into the SDLC adoption, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalysing organizational growth and answering questions.

       

Skills & qualifications:

  • Familiarity with quality standards and processes for Software Development Life Cycle and Application Management (CMMI, COBIT5,MSP, etc)
  • Hands-on experience in developing source code
  • Hands-on experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proven experience in Reviews, Assessment and Control activities within projects
  • Experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, ITAO or similar in a client facing position, with the ability to influence and indirectly lead various stakeholders. Has managed project delivery end to end and has gone through organizational management and transformation
  • Good presentation skills and relevant experience in training and coaching activities.
  • A strong learning ability and mind set open to continuous improvement and change, with a strong interest to question status quo.
  • Great attention to detail and a results driven approach
  • Fluent in English, verbally and writing (German is a plus). Previous experience working effectively in globally and culturally diverse teams as well as in matrix organisations.
