The Damen Romania Yards organization is investing in a dedicated Sales role that will actively seek and contract external projects to the Damen Divisions Naval, Yachting, OSV, Workboats with which the organization already collaborates. The roleAs a Sales Manager you will be part of the Damen Romania Yards Management Team as the driver of the sales and marketing strategy for external projects. Besides the organizational activities you will also be responsible for implementing innovative sales processes and policies that are market relevant and sustainable for the business. The scope of this role is focused on external or non-Damen projects. This approach will aim to fill the capacity of the multiple factories: Block Building, Aluminium, Piping, Project Completion to maximise asset utilization in service of maintaining a well trained workforce available to enable Damen maritime projects. Key accountabilitiesAs a Sales Manager you will have the following responsibilities, but not limited to: Manage key accounts, key contacts and other critical stakeholders at various client organizations with the focus effort to obtain new contracts; Generate new business enquiry; Manage the Sales & Business Development process and/or pipeline to ensure the Division achieves sales targets in all businesses; Plan and manage the business portfolio and/or territory and/or business according to the agreed market development strategy; Plan and carry out sales and marketing strategies and other local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales; Personal sales efforts with other organized marketing efforts like product launches, promotions, advertising etc.; Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer and/or prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including costs and sales; Pursue customer satisfaction measurement goals as established within the department; Authorized to conclude contracts within the framework of approved prices, rates, fleet arrangements, general terms and conditions; Liaise with estimation department for submission of new work quotation; Liaise and coordinate with the Finance department regarding payments; Perform other relevant functions as assigned by the department head; Responsible for following health, safety and environmental policies and requirements of the company (especially to strictly use PPE’s provided). Skills & experienceTo be successful in this role you have: Minimum 3 Years sales experience in Newbuild Marine/Offshore industry; Excellent business acumen and a thorough understanding of the processes and systems followed in the marine industry; Good report drafting and presentation skills using MS Office application; Advanced communication skills in English writing and speaking; Willingness to travel extensively; Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; Established connections in the maritime industry; Proficiency with CRM tools and sales software; Ability to address customer concerns and provide solutions; Understanding of the global nature of shipbuilding and adapt to diverse clients.
