Manages sales and marketing activities in Vietnam. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to support corporate goals. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive management of sales and marketing personnel and customer satisfaction. High-level distributor management for Vietnam business, including S&M activities and other supporting functions.

Main Responsibilities (I)

  • Participating in the development of the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and sales area and for sales promotion budget.
  • Oversees product portfolio development aligned with company’s strategy and market need
  • Developing annual sales plan which covers objectives, product listing plan, KOL development plan, sales target by product by area, promotion activities and budget.
  • Responsible for overall tender management together and providing guidance to Key Account Executives in executing the tender strategy
  • Monitoring the performance of sales team and market situations by establishing a system of reports and communications. Regularly evaluate the results to ensure that the plan can be adjusted in a timely manner, corresponding to the market situation.
  • Responsible for obtaining profitable results and efficiency through the development of sales team through motivation, counselling, selling skills and product knowledge development.
  • Managing distributors to ensure compliance, sales performance.
  • Main Responsibilities (II)
  • Responsible for the planning, recruitment, directing, organizing and control of regional sales managers, Brand Manager and sales representatives (of the distributor) to accomplish set objectives.
  • Ensuring all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Providing an on-going high standard training for the medical representatives so that they possess sufficient medical and technical knowledge to present information on the company’s products in an accurate and balanced manner.
  • Regularly observe the performance of subordinates in the field. Implement an appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the team.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor degree in science, pharmaceutical science is preferable.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical selling experience, of which 5 years are in the management role in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in generic products will be an advantage
  • Proficient in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written)
  • Strong selling skills and product knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team and successfully working with others as a team
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market information
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, tender regulations and hospital systems
