Role purpose
The Configuration Management Solution Owner is a senior architecture role who owns the definition of the Configuration Management Architecture defining the roadmap and acting as a Technical Design Authority. As a key member of the architecture team, the role purpose is to:
• Develop an Architecture Vision & Strategy for the build of a Configuration Management System providing a single source of truth for data to support IT Operations.
• Own the definition of the Configuration Management architecture roadmap that aligns with the Product roadmap and IT Operations service lines objectives.
• Develop the Data Architecture & data model that will underpin the CMDB strategy
• Collaborate with Process teams to define the data Architecture governance model that will enforce the data accuracy and data integrity across the Configuration Management System

• Reference Architecture for Configuration Management
• Architecture capabilities roadmap and maturity plan
• Technical Design Authority & Architecture Governance
• Reference User Journeys
• Configuration Management Architecture standards and patterns
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• Experience as an IT Architect with an extensive and practical knowledge of Automation technologies, tools and techniques • Strong CMDB & Data Architecture skills required
• Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge in IT Service Management (Remedy, Service Now, MF Service Manager or equivalent)
• Good technical knowledge of Auto-discovery tools and service modelling such as BMC Discovery, Microfocus Universal Discovery, Flexera etc…)
• Experience in Software Asset management like SNOW or equivalent
• Proficient in Enterprise Applications Management solution like LeanIX or equivalent
• Good understanding of On-prem vs Cloud considerations and challenges for Data Architecture
• Practical knowledge and experience of both Agile philosophy and methodologies of project delivery.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills
