Continuous Improvement in Knauf Insulation is about engaging and empowering people at every level to use improve their processes in a sustainable way. The role is to provide CI leadership and resource on site utilizing the Knauf CI framework manual as a point of reference and working closely with the Management Team and all other stakeholders in the plant so that a CI culture is established and nurtured.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the Site Management Team in the defining the Plant Vision and Goals together with the development of a series of Key Performance Indicators (or Measures of Performance) to align improvement activity to a common purpose. Ensure plant personnel at every level understand and buy in to the Plant Vision and Goals and the part they can play in achievement.
- Provide and share expert CI knowledge and technical skills so that the plant team at all levels can identify, implement and maintain improvements to their daily processes.
- Provide support to personnel in completing Six Sigma Training and provide assistance and understanding in the application of tools and techniques.,
- Support Process Leaders, Engineering Teams and Shift Leaders so that they eventually become self-sufficient in terms of leading improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that the site has access to sources of best practice, internal and external to the Knauf business.
- Work with the Process Excellence Manager GMW Europe to ensure the CI process remains aligned with Group standards and that the CI maturity on site is audited according to the group standard
- Establish, grow and maintain a layered auditing process to ensure that standards created are maintained and improved upon
Special requirements:
Foreign language: English – level C1

LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen - Continuous Improvement, Solving Problems Skill Ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure
Supervisory management experience or clear demonstration of supervisory potential.
Leadership and communication style which is motivating and engaging to individuals and teams.
Experience of engaging process personnel in process improvement – Workshops, Improvement Groups etc.
