The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Operations Manager to further build and lead our team in Romania. This role is pivotal for our operations, requiring a strong technical background in the oil and gas sector or engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage budgets and client relationships effectively.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Project Delivery:
Oversee the successful delivery of emission measurement services to our clients
Manage project teams, local expenditures, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Oversee planning and execution of field activities
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the Oil &Gas Industry
Understand client needs and ensure their satisfaction with our services.
Financial Management:
Manage the country's budget, ensuring alignment with the approved financial plans
Monitor spending and report on financial performance to headquarters
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and motivate Romanian staff, building a performing organisation
Foster a positive and productive work environment
Interface with the HR Manager to ensure smooth recruitment and onboarding processes
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Act as the technical manager for ISO 17025 management system compliance and validation.
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years of business experience in an operational service environment, preferably in the oil and gas sector
Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Result-driven and action-oriented.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025 standards.
Fluent in English and preferably knowledge of Romanian
