Responsibilities:
- Responsible for study, design, specification and services related to electrical and electronic systems including power generation, transmission and distribution, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communications systems, grounding and lightning protection, heat tracing etc.
- Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.
- Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency or operations.
- Also may be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English
- Suitable skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Knowledge and experience of European Union voltage and frequency systems is required.
- Selection criteria for this position will usually include good people and leadership skills.
- Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
