We are looking for an experienced Engineering & Design Lead to join a major Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project within the cement industry.
In this role, you will lead and coordinate all engineering and design activities related to the carbon capture installation, ensuring alignment across disciplines and successful delivery during the Pre-FEED and FEED phases, supporting project readiness for the Final Investment Decision (FID).
You will act as the central technical coordination point between engineering teams, design offices (Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM), project managers and plant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the engineering master plan, standards and design philosophy for the project
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, HSE, utilities)
Ensure technical integration of all CCS systems and plant modifications
Oversee FEED engineering development, including design basis, technical studies and specifications
Manage collaboration with engineering contractors and design offices (EPC/EPCM)
Identify and mitigate engineering and design risks
Ensure engineering deliverables reach the required maturity level for FID
Support technical evaluation of design solutions and cost implications
Manage design changes and ensure compliance with standards and regulations Profile We’re Looking For
Education: Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Energy or Industrial Engineering
Must-have: 15+ years of experience in engineering design or technical management
Strong experience in large industrial CAPEX projects
Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience working with EPC/EPCM contractors or design offices
Solid understanding of project lifecycle (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC)
Nice to have: Experience in carbon capture, decarbonization or energy transition projects
Background in cement, energy, oil & gas, or chemical industry
Knowledge of industrial gas treatment systems and utilities integration
