Purpose Statement: The Equipment Lead responsibility is to ensure the company`s process related equipment’s to work properly to meet the production schedule defined and drive continuous improvement of equipment performance. The leader will orchestrate simultaneous execution of multiple projects with the help of his team and through engagement with third party service providers. This position requires limited supervision and is also required to exercise moderate discretion and independent judgment by developing, analyzing and delivering simple to complex information. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of 2 or more employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules.Key Job Accountabilities:Conduct human resource activities which may include approving time off, overtime, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, mentoring, counseling, leadership and direction for direct reports. Maintain company policies and procedures. Resolves conflicts and implement disciplinary action, when neededManage the implementing of equipment related improvements/upgrades in production linesManage the service group to ensure timely completion of plant-wide equipment advanced repairs, troubleshooting, electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, motors, pumps, vacuum and hydraulics issuesManage spare parts planning and consumption to support maintaining of manufacturing equipment and propose changes to improve operational cost and efficiencyManage the creation, develop and repair of fixtures and tooling device used for manufacturing or equipment operation using internal capabilitiesManage and lead the calibration for equipment`s (except test equipment)Additional Accountabilities:Actively participate and ensure each team member has robust development plan in placeDevelops on-the-job technical and equipment safety training for service personnelSupports resolution of department equipment related issues and escalates as required for immediate actionEnsures the ready status of idle equipmentParticipates in the equipment evaluation process to determine buy/sell needs. Also, purchases and sells new and used equipment as directed by managementWork with vendors to improve equipment performance and resolve chronic equipment issuesParticipate in work meetings called by immediate superiorFollow up on corrective actions (CAR)Acknowledges and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards provided in the procedures and instructions that are specific to each field, documentation that underlies the proper functioning of the integrated management system of quality, environment, safety and occupational healthMinimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the businessAdditional duties as assigned by managementEducation/Experience Qualifications:A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
