About the role: You join Information Management (IM) at Barry Callebaut, the department that provides all IT Services to the global Barry Callebaut group in a centralized model (all 4 Business Units, all geographic regions). Barry Callebaut globally standardized Application platforms (with key strategic platforms SAP ERP, Salesforce for digital business partner relationship management, and SAP HR SuccessFactors for Hire-To-Retire) as well as standardized IT Infrastructure platforms (global SD-WAN, global hybrid datacenter services on Microsoft Azure, endpoints). We adopt a “Cloud First'' strategy, levering SaaS business applications and Cloud Infrastructures to the maximum. Your mission and that of your team are to provide seamless, compliant, and cost-efficient 24/7 Digital Backbone Services, the “digital Achilles heel” of the Company. As Global Manager of Digital Operations, you are globally responsible for all first, second, and third-line support for Service Desk activities, Application Maintenance & Support, and Hybrid Cloud Datacenter Services for the Barry Callebaut Group. You report to the Group Chief Information Officer and are a member of the Global Information Management Leadership (10 people). You also lead and deliver with your team on two important Strategic Transformation initiatives: (1) “Service Management 2.0” (ITSM re-platforming, enhancing ITIL compliance), as well as (2) migration to Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure) Services for the Global Datacenter. As the leader of a larger team based in Poland (Lodz), you will also become a member of the Poland Shared Services Center leadership team, and you will co-shape the future of shared services from Poland for the Europe region in Barry Callebaut. Key responsibilities:You lead the global team that provides 24/7 Hybrid Cloud Datacenter Services, mainly outsourced Services with internal Barry Callebaut governance (7 internal staff + 24/7 outsourcing partner with an estimated +40 external staff). You manage a strategic Vendor/Partner relationship. For Datacenter Services, you lead both the daily run operations as well as project services.You lead the global team that provides 24/7 Application Maintenance & Support Services, a combination of internal staff, and outsourced Services 24/7 (+40 internal staff and +50 external staff). Your direct report Service Leaders partner with the Capability/Product Leaders from Application Project Services. You manage a strategic Vendor/Partner relationship (Cognizant). These are mainly daily run operations.You define and implement synergies between Datacenter Services and Application Support Services to become a true Global Digital Operations team. You co-lead the transformation towards Service Management 2.0 to further optimize Service/Compliance/Risk/Cost. Here you bring in past experience of working with leading Service Management applications (i.e. ServiceNow ITSM) and leverage on tools of our Vendors / Partners (AI and others). Transformation in cooperation with IT Infrastructure Operations Manager, Master Data Manager, and CISO.You lead the transformation towards Cloud Services for the Global Datacenter (Microsoft Azure) to further optimize Service/Compliance/Risk/Cost, also in the context of our Road to SAP S4 HANA. Here you bring in ideally past experiences of working with (multi) Cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS, SAP rise ).You extend the role of mainly our Shared Services Center in Poland (Lodz) to also become a Center of Excellence for (automated) Integration and Regression Test services for the Barry Callebaut group to support Application Project Services teams.You manage a budget of approximately +/- 10 mln CHF Opex and +/- 5 mln CHF Capex.As a Digital Operations service leader, you very frequently interact with other members of the Information Management Leadership team, but are less in the direct frontline of Business-IM governance.You will further build advanced Vendor / Partner relationship management, based on strategic, tactical, and operational governance layers. The long-standing partnerships you build are based on trust and aim for win-win. About you:Master (University) Degree in Information Technology or related field.Experience in global 24/7 SLA-driven service delivery, ITIL certified is a plus.Over 15 years of business / IT experience in similar Roles.People leader to manage +50 internal Barry Callebaut people.Strategic vendor/partner relationship management skills to manage Tier-1 global vendors/partners.Technical competencies: Hybrid Cloud computing (Microsoft Azure & other), Artificial Intelligence & Automation (for next-generation service management).Business application competencies: SAP ERP, Salesforce, SAP HR SuccessFactors & others.Service Management: ITIL certified, knowledge of Tier-1 ITSM application (i.e. ServiceNow).Good analytical / financial skills, i.e. budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, develop business cases.You are leading by example, showing courage, and dedication, but above all “ownership”.
