 The Group Investment Office (GIO) oversees the management of the invested assets of SCOR Group. It aims at providing investment services to the Group, as well as financial analysis and controlling. It is composed of the following teams:

  • Investment Record Keeping;

  • Investment Accounting;

  • Investment Business Analytics;

  • Investment Planning & Analysis;

  • Investment Risk and Controls.

  • The Investment Business Analytics team’s mission is to centralize data acquisition, data management and data controls on investments for all SCOR stakeholders. It is in charge of managing, developing and maintaining the golden source of investment data which is used across the Group for all types of reports related to investments. 

    The team also leads Group Investments Office projects all along their lifecycle from the design to their roll out. It ensures the relevance and consistency of the functional architecture across the data value chain. In addition, the team is in charge of the production and corrective maintenance of the legacy.


    The key duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Ensure manual creation or oversees automated creation of securities for non-listed (alternative investments, internal funds, RMBS, leveraged loans…) and listed instruments (government and corporate bonds) in the data management and record keeping & accounting systems.

  • For the creation of Fixed Income securities, oversees the automated IFRS9 SPPI classification of financial instruments and applies procedures and expert judgement in case of exceptions.

  • Handle creation exceptions and required data entry in case of missing or corrupted data (e.g. principal factors, pool factor, ratings, securities classifications, SPPI criteria).

  • Ensure manual price gathering and feeding or oversees automated price feeding from various sources, on daily basis and according to the Group Investments Office pricing policy.

  • Perform daily data management controls on invested securities referential and market data, provide first-level analysis and explanation, complete or clean the data accordingly.

  • Act as a first-level contact for users of Investments referential data across the Group, respond to their queries for information, identify, assess and resolve recurring issues and problems in a timely manner.

  • Seek advice and escalate issues when facing tasks / problems outside normal scope of role.

  • Strictly follows and applies procedures as defined in the internal control framework ensuring compliance to internal and external audits.

  • Establish and build knowledge of GIO processes (investment reporting, prudential and regulatory reporting) and related systems to effectively perform responsibilities, meet all quality and compliance standards and requirements.

  • Update data management documentation, participate in the development of standard operating procedures and guidelines and adopts continuous improvement approach.

  • The Referential Data Officer will be in regular contact with a number of third parties, should it be internal (e.g. GIO teams notably Record keeping, SCOR Investment Partners, local entities etc.) or external providers (e.g. asset managers, data providers etc.). Strong client service skills are expected for that position, as well as the capacity to promptly escalate issues.


    Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in similar environment;

  • Knowledge on market data and market instruments (bond, loans, mortgage, equity funds …);

  • Global knowledge of Data / BI tools and uses cases;

  • Soft skills:

  • Education: 

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a specialization in Finance.
