IT Support Specialist About the Role Location Romania Bucuresti Bucuresti Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Competence Hub Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As you start your day as an IT Support Specialist at Siemens Energy, you quickly check your emails and prioritize your tasks for the day. You receive a call from a customer experiencing issues with their computer, and you troubleshoot the problem remotely. After resolving the issue, you move on to setting up software and services on several hardware devices. In the afternoon, you consult with a colleague on his digitalization topic, working together to identify multiple possible ways forward. You also attend a meeting with your team to discuss upcoming projects and potential IT challenges. As the day comes to a close, you document all your work and prepare for the next day. How You’ll Make an Impact Strategy & Planning Work closely with IT and the Business to support business needs. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership on potential opportunities for innovation. Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify potential areas for digitalization and provide guidance on implementing new technologies or initiatives. Help develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistent support for our IT systems. Operational Management Service responsibility for the department of the international Erection & Commissioning teams. Coordinate cross-project initiatives and new software roll outs. Support the digitalization journey within the responsible department Provide prompt and efficient technical support to employees to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Assist in the rollout of new devices and technologies, ensuring that all employees are trained and able to use them effectively. Develop and maintain documentation and procedures to support the smooth operation of IT systems and processes. Monitor and maintain the security and integrity of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring that it is compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Work closely with vendors and partners to ensure timely delivery of equipment and support services. What You Bring Formal Education & Certification A professional education or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Certification in common IT support technologies, such as Microsoft and Apple products. Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English Knowledge & Experience Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure Cloud, MS365 Proven project planning and project management experience. Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies. Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving, particularly when it comes to technical issues. A thorough understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking systems. Knowledge of a range of operating systems and applications, including common office productivity software and specialized business applications. Personal Attributes Good Communication Skills Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and support processes. Strong customer service skills, including the ability to provide clear, concise instructions and guidance to users. The ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other IT staff, site teams and external vendors as needed.
