Its expertise and closely managed supply chain have been behind some of Damen’s most important deliveries to date, fully illustrating the group’s diverse product portfolio.The roleIn this exciting role, as a Project Buyer you will be part of the team responsible for the project being focused on supply chain activities in terms of quality, time, cost, risk, logistics.You will represent the Procurement Department, ensuring consistency between project management and procurement aspects on the project.Key accountabilities- Negotiating, contracting and purchasing materials, services, installation equipment, semi-finished products and components for the assigned project- Integrate all project specifications into the negotiation with suppliers to ensure that requirements and objectives are clearly communicated and understood by both parties- Analysis of technical and commercial terms and conditions in order to establish the procurement strategy for each project- Ensure project specific procurement and identify suppliers capable of meeting price and specification requirements and maintain communication with the internal client- Organise the tender evaluation and supplier selection/negotiation process taking into account the procurement strategies and project constraints- Coordinate supply chain functions to ensure smooth running of the project- Provide improvements to existing work processes and develop best practices in the work area - Work closely with key suppliers to ensure availability, commercial and quality performance- Issue project procurement reports to ensure transparency and communication between support functions and project management- Accountability for on-time, quality and cost delivery of products and servicesSkills & experience- Bachelor's degree - technical or economic field- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the supply chain/purchasing field - is an advantage- Excellent negotiation skills in dealing with suppliers- Knowledge of strategic procurement and project management- Experience working with an ERP system (preferably IFS and/or SAP)- Good working knowledge of MS Office; PowerBI - would be an advantage- Very good knowledge of English - written and spoken- Good analytical skills, high commitment and flexibility- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders Job Detail Reference number GL00185 Date posted 04/04/2024 Closing date 04/12/2024 Location Galati Country Romania Expertise Supply chain Product Group Damen Romanian Yards Company Santierul Naval Damen Galati S.A.
