Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent plans, coordinates, promotes, conducts, and monitors recreation activities. Activities include sports, fitness, special events, tours and trips, and self-directed events. Recommends and assists in establishing local policies and regulations on all recreation outdoor and indoor programs. Recommends program modifications based on recognized changing developments in lifestyles and recreational or cultural needs of program activities and events. Assists in providing day-to-day oversight, administration, and coordination of the activities and services of the recreational program. Ensures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served. Selects and emphasizes program activities to be offered, both those in the basic programs minimum essential categories and those designed to meet more specialized interests and needs and to provide a more enhanced program consistent with safety practices. Furnishes advice to participants, interacts in various types of recreation activities, and demonstrates methods and procedures. Ensures that guidance in the use of recreational equipment is followed. He/she conducts Commercial Sponsorship and Commercial Advertising. Develops solicitation packet and solicits sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors. Coordinates with Rhineland-Pfalz Sponsorship Director who works directly with installation's Staff Judge Advocate when needed to ensure terms of each sponsorship agreement follows all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Ensures sponsor compliance with sponsorship agreement. Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at event. Designs and posts flyers to advertise recreation activities. Ensures all flyers are sent to PAO to promote programs. Compiles and provides sponsor with copies of subsequent publicity and develops appropriate thank you letter and after-action report. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising program. Develops pricing and rate structure for paid advertising. Negotiates terms of advertising agreement and executes all supporting documents. Tracks payment of advertising to ensure proper accountability and credit to FSS Fund. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the marketing program. Reviews proposals for supplies and equipment for assigned recreational activities within a prescribed dollar limit. Arranges the maintenance of facilities and equipment and determine the equipment requirements and the acquisition of supplies.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 0830 to 1730 including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break. Overtime, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on operational needs.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the "Qualification Standards" published by U.S. Office of Personnel Management, as summarized below.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the RW-05 grade level.
Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Education may be substituted for experience in accordance with the "Qualification Standards" published by U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
