We are looking for a Data Engineer to support our client from the investment banking industry. Security is a global organization within Group Technology Infrastructure and Security Engineering. Our services focus on identity management for users, access management for applications and infrastructure, directories, detecting/preventing measures for cyber threats, and exchanging/storing data securely. We provide consolidated and reliable security services that implement secure design principles, and create best-fit solutions. As an expert in ISE Security and internet technologies, you'll be part of our team in India or Poland and working closely with the internal project team. ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing and building data and reporting solutions using Azure SQL and PowerBI. Key responsibilities include: • Utilizing technology to develop solutions that address business challenges and strengthen our position as digital leaders in the financial services industry • Analyzing business requirements across the organization • Developing sustainable solutions using modern programming languages • Providing technical expertise and recommendations for new software projects and initiatives, as well as enhancing existing applications • Conducting code reviews and software testing, and contributing to application architecture and design during various stages of the SDLC • Ensuring that appropriate operational controls and procedures are established to support the movement of applications from test to production environments. • Conduct data analysis on raw data of resources and policies from Azure portal to ensure data completeness and accuracy. • Design and develop normalized relational database schema in SQL to support data analysis requirements. • Understand the end data requirements to create Power BI solution that reflects the reports. • Clean and transform raw data to match the reports using tools and techniques like ETL. • Conduct data testing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data. • Automate the solution to ensure scalability and reliability. • Set up Gitlab and create CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous integration and deployment of the data solution. • Develop data retention, recovery, and disaster plan to ensure data availability and security. • Create documentation such as Data Model and data movement procedures to maintain the solution. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data scientists, and developers to ensure successful implementation of the data solution. Must haveWe are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer who possesses the following qualifications: • 5 to 10 years of experience in building data models and reporting solutions. • SQL Development skills • Power BI Development skills • Pipeline in Devops(CI CD pipeline experience in Azure & GitLab) • Azure Functions with C# • 1 to 2 years of experience working with native Cloud data and reporting solutions such as Azure SQL and Power BI. • Familiarity with Azure big data services as a data engineer. • Experience using Azure for Compute, Containers, Big Data, and Data Analytics, including Data Lake, Data Factory, and Stream Analytics. You will be responsible for validating security configurations on Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. • Knowledge of applying standards, methods, techniques, and templates as defined by our SDLC. This includes coding and testing validation of security configurations within Progress Chef, DevOps in Azure DevOps & GitLab, and testing in Test-Kitchen. • Ability to produce secure and clean code that is stable, operational, consistent, and well-performing. • Experience in designing, planning, and delivering solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
