Currently, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will join the Scientific Intelligence department of a leading pharmaceutical company which hubQuest supports. Scientific Intelligence department serves as a centralized hub for external information, along with tools and technologies to extract data and insights for users worldwide, both at headquarters and affiliates. The goal is to provide cutting-edge digital solutions to the organization, ensuring that researchers have seamless access to quality information sources, state-of-the-art technologies, and professional information research services supporting their needs. Scientific Intelligence operates as a part of Digital Research & Intelligence (DRI) which has been established to provide a modern scientific intelligence, drive external collaborations and access to emerging technologies in the digital space of drug discovery, facilitate idea maturation, and develop an educational framework to drive a digital journey. As a part of Digital Science & Innovation (DSI), Digital Research & Intelligence participates in drug development projects across the value chain, from early discovery to pre-clinical development. If you join us, your responsibilities will include: designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure within Scientific Intelligence creating and maintaining ELT/ETL processes on cloud infrastructure programming in languages such as Python and SQL working with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes automating CI/CD processes identifying data solutions that have business applications and translating them into design specifications and code handling activities such as quality assurance, data migration and integration, and solution deployment to ensure the business gets the best value writing ETL processes, designing database systems and developing tools for real-time and offline analytic processing troubleshooting software and processes for data consistency and integrity  integrating large scale data from a variety of sources to generate insights and make decisions  translating business specifications into design specifications and code writing complex programs, ad hoc queries and reports ensuring that all code is well structured and leverageable across the business gaining expertise in tools, technologies and applications / databases in specific business areas and company-wide systems to deploy digital solutions providing job aids and mentoring to team members and business users keeping up to speed with the latest industry and technology developments, and applying them to solve analytics challenges We expect: at least 5 years of data engineering experience experience in creating and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines on cloud infrastructure proficiency with Python and SQL experience working with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes knowledge of CI/CD processes and relevant tools experience working in AWS cloud (or Azure) at least basic ops skills including cloud operations (e.g. usage monitoring for EC2 instances), security, automation, code vulnerabilities ability to work independently fluent English as you will communicate in English almost all the time keeping an eye on future technological trends   Nice to have: experience with ElasticSearch experience with vector databases, e.g. Milvus If interested please let us get to know you by sending your CV using "Apply" button.
