Purpose Statement: Responsible for supervising and managing activities directly related to the daily business needs. The activities of concentration will include, but are not limited to the following areas-direction and leadership, daily production work load, quality, cross training, skill development and time off approvals/hours worked. This position is under limited supervision and is required to exercise moderate discretion and independent judgment by developing, analyzing and delivering simple to complex information. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of two or more employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. Completes performance appraisal recommendations, and recommends job classifications.Key Job Accountabilities:Manage functional area to meet customer demand.Serve as the Team Leader for assigned focus factory ensuring proper carryover of production activities and requirements. Assist in directing employees to ensure that day-to-day production needs are met.Prepare and communicate shift turnover.Provides status updates for area WIP (work in progress) counts.Understands workload constraints and willing to flex in and out of area as demand changes.Additional Accountabilities:Understands and supports metrics for functional area.Communicates and provides status updates of metrics for functional area.Ensure all proper documentation required for the functional area is followed.Ensure all required tooling for the functional area is utilized.Ability to follow documented instructions (ABI, WI, SOP, EOI).Builds effective long term working relationships with internal team members across other functional areas.Provides a written performance review at least once per year and provides continuous, timely, feedback on a regular basis.Provides verbal discipline for issues that infringe on Company policies or performance expectations in a timely mannerConforms to all Company policies and model by example.Assists Human Resources with preparation of documentation leading to written warning and/or termination when necessary.Acknowledges and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards provided in the procedures and instructions that are specific to each field, documentation that underlies the proper functioning of the integrated management system of quality, environment, safety and occupational health.Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 25%)Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:Two (2) years of related experience is required; Three (3) years of related experience is preferredPrevious supervisory experience is required.An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications: Basic Computer skillsEmployee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
