Remote Position: NoRegion: Europe Country: Romania State/Province: Oradea City: Oradea Job Summary: The Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized. Responsabilities: Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Unassisted, define, specify, qualify, install, support and optimize test process and test equipment solutions for manufacturing; Receive and deploy Test Equipment in accordance with the internal procedures; Lead test process optimization, with a focus on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield for a broad set of test equipment within an Operations value stream; Debug of test process and equipment solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies; Collaborate with Quality, Process and Equipment engineers to detect and solve product and test yield and performance issues; Develop improvement roadmaps for test coverage, defect diagnosis, reparability, test time reductions; Analyzing and interpreting data and information from yield reports and equipment logs and product diagnostics to determine sources of yield loss; Provide solution support to Process Engineers to improve detection of known defect types as part of a Process Control plan; Support development of test equipment integration into Manufacturing Execution Systems including yield, tester log and product parametric information; Develop and maintain Work Instructions for test processes; Provide Technical Training for Test and Debug technicians; Survey the spare parts consumption and the utilization of the spare parts; Define/Verify/Manage Maintenance Plan; Engineering Changes Implementation; Ensure fast processing of all aged WIP products from the debug area; Organize/Complete GRR Gauge Repeatability Reproducibility; Organize/Complete MSA (Measurement System Analysis); Participate at product launch kickoffs; "Evaluate externally manufactured test system during transfer or manufacturing phase" Propose improvements for existing test systems; Create Business Cases for improvements; Perform PFMEA analysis for risk management related to test process; Investigate root causes and design appropriate corrective actions as part of the CAPA process. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: Bachelor degree, 3- 5 years of relevant experience, engineering foundation competencies; In-depth knowledge and understanding of the design process for systems and printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or other related company products; In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment used for systems and printed circuit boards and subassemblies; In-depth knowledge of industry and quality standards and SPC methodologies. In-depth knowledge of materials and components used in the construction of systems and printed circuit boards and subassemblies. In-depth knowledge of material science, robotics, machine programming. Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills. Good presentation, database management and computer skills. Ability to design tests, evaluate results and recommend solutions to improve the processes associated with SMT. Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Strong knowledge of IT platforms, database design and programming languages appropriate to area. Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate multiple, changing deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.
